Juventus Stadium, Turin
 January 28th, 19:45 kick-off
Juventus

Against Roma, Juve were in control of the game and never looked like they were going to crumble. The same was the case against Atalanta, where the Bianconeri boasted a lot of creativity and conjured up plenty of chances against a tricky opponent. They won’t have it as easy though against Udinese, whose counter-attacks cannot be ignored or undermined. Even without a number of important players, Udinese always are a threat. That is all down to the mentality that Guidolin has managed to instill in his troops and also the genius of Di Natale up front.

For this game, Conte could field a 4-3-3 formation. In the reverse fixture, he surprised everyone by deploying a more 3-5-2 formation to mirror Udinese’s. While that did work to a certain extent, his offense looked rather toothless in attack. He did, however, manage to come away with a point from the Friuli, something which no side has managed to repeat this season. Leonardo Bonucci, Claudio Marchisio, Simone Pepe and Mirko Vucinic are all doubts for the game. Marchisio, however, looks likely to start in midfield and should he be absent, his place will be taken by Giaccherini. The former Cesena man has shown his ability to adapt in a more central midfield role with admirably.

Up front, Alex Del Piero could be rewarded yet another start after his terrorizing display against Roma capped off by a typical Del Piero curler; his first of the season and in Juve’s new stadium. While the absence of Vucinic could result in Marcelo Estigarribia handed another start on the left of attack. Alessandro Matri’s position could be in jeopardy and he might pay for the missed chances against Atalanta; Conte does have the option of Borriello if he decides to bench Matri. New signing Martin Caceres has not made the squad.

Udinese

Francesco Guidolin may not admit that his side are in the Scudetto hunt, but after 19 rounds, their position does suggest otherwise. The manager maybe modest in his press conferences but his team are most certainly one of the most ambitious sides in the land. But he does have a few selection headaches to deal with. The African Cup of Nations has deprived the manager of fundamental players such as Benatia, Badu and Asamoah; three players who have consistently figured in his plans throughout the season.

He will employ his 3-5-2 formation. The ever reliable Samir Handanovic will take his place between the sticks and he will be protected by the defensive trio of Ferronetti, Danilo and Domizzi. Ferronetti could be considered as the weak-link in the Udinese defensive and will be targeted by the Juve attack. However, he does have Dusan Basta in front of his. The Serb has been one of the Zebrette’s most outstanding players this season with his rampaging runs, determination and endless energy. He could cause a few problems to Juve’s Achilles’ heel – the left back position.

New signing Gelson Fernandes will take Asamoah’s place in midfield, while the attack will be spearheaded by their captain Antonio Di Natale. The diminutive attacker like wine, gets better with age and never seems to hold back. Incredibly, enough Di Natale has scored half of Udinese’s goals this season, underlining his importance to Guidolin’s side and indeed his influence. He could be supported by either Abdi or Floro-Flores.

Fabbrini and Coda will be evaluated later while Pinzi and Barreto will probably miss the game due to injury.

Racing Metro vs Toulouse live
Racing are technically the 'hosts' of Saturday's headline fixture by many of Toulouse's star-studded team will feel right at home at the 80 000-seater Stade de France as the heavyweight go clash for the Pierre de Coubertin trophy.

Toulouse boss Guy Novès has promised that 'no more than three' of players in the current French Six Nations squad will feature and none of those expected to start for les Bleus will travel to the capital.

The defending champions will nevertheless be able to line up a formidable side with in-form centre Florian Fritz - who many feel is unlucky not to have been called up for the Six Nations - eager to prove a point.

With Toulouse enjoying a clear lead at the top of the standings, all the pressure will be on Racing, who are in the centre of the battle for play-off qualification.

Racing number eight Sébastien Chabal has said his team has worked hard to fix the errors that cost them dearly in the first half of the season - and in the Heineken Cup - and believes the team are on an upward curve.

The return of Frans Steyn has certainly added an extra dimension to their attack.

Recent clashes with Toulouse in Paris have gone Racing's way with the host winning 43-21 last season and 27-20 before that.

Prediction: Racing put up a fight in the away leg and should do well against a Toulouse side that has had a lot on their plate recently. Racing by three or four points.
